This is a supervisor¬ position that works under the direction of the¬ Bighorn¬ general manager¬ and provides instruction/direction to staff.¬  The Assistant Manager¬  is responsible for supporting a high quality food and beverage experience for guests.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Fulfills day-to-day work responsibilities for the organization as needed, and is thoroughly familiar with all areas of restaurant/facility operations.

  • Ensures the efficient operation of the facility or team during assigned schedule.

  • Responsible for hiring/staffing, scheduling and performance management/evaluations.

  • Also fulfills day-to-day work responsibilities for the organization as needed, and is thoroughly familiar with all areas of restaurant/facility operations.

  • Assist with day to day operation of restaurant

  • Assist and manage banquet functions and operations

  • Perform special projects assigned by restaurant/hotel manager

  • Review and maintain wine, beer, liquor inventories

  • Maintain and enforce all brand service standards

  • Assist in implementing training strategies for new and current employees

  • Assist in monitoring and handling all guest complaints and institute corrective measures to keep complaints from recurring

  • Assist in meeting financial goals and standards relating to restaurant and banquet operations

Job Qualifications



  • Must have a positive attitude and work well with others, leading by example

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in restaurant operations

  • At least 3 years of experience in guest service environment

  • At least 2 years of experience in lead or supervisory role

  • Banquet service, set up catering experience -preferred

  • At least 1 year bartending experience -preferred

  • Basic wine knowledge -required

  • Must be able to carry a large tray containing 30 lbs

  • Must be TIPS and serve safe certified -required

  • Must have flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Must be proficient in Computers and Microsoft Office applications - PeopleSoft and Infogenesis experience is preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
