Summary of Job: A food runner is responsible for the delivery of food to guests in a friendly and professional manner. As a food runner, it is important to know plate presentation and food temperature expectations. Food runners are also responsible for assisting other restaurant staff members with duties such as clearing and cleaning tables, returning dishes to the kitchen, filling water glasses, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and guest areas to enhance the guest experience.


Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Function effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors and co-workers

  • Provide highest level of customer service

  • Full knowledge of menu and beverage offerings after being hired

  • Clearing and cleaning tables and work station

  • Helping with other duties to ensure the best guest experience

  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally to coworkers and guests.

  • Provide high level customer service to all guests.

  • Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations of Vail Resorts and Afton Alps.

  • Create and maintain a productive and safe work environment, including the completion of all company mandated safety-related training and assessments.

  • Assist other departments, as needed.

  • Adhere to and role model the company's mission, vision, and values.

  • Other duties, as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.

  • High level of interpersonal skills to ensure: teamwork, high level guest contact, and commitment to guest service.

  • Certified Slip Resistant shoes are required prior to starting work. Shoes must be provided by the employee.

  • Must demonstrate ability to receive direction and act upon it.

  • Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year.¬  Must be willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
